Design is in the Details: Unifying Different Lamps

I’m writing this post late at night after a day of trying to escape the summer and I’m afraid my brain feels soggy from all this humidity…so it’s a quick short post today.

Have you checked out the all the photos of the Room of the Week on the A Country Farmhouse blog?  There are tons of great photos showing all the details in the room.  One of my favorite tips Catherine shared was that she used two different lamps on each side of the bed, but unified them by making sure the lamps were the same height and had the same lampshade.  Those two details really trick the eye.

Such a simple little detail that really makes this room really polished.

I’ll be back tomorrow with some updates on my backyard patio makeover…nothing big, just some small little details that make the space feel a little bit better.
